MEET THE TEAM
I am a qualified Neuromuscular Therapist teaching mobility classes and doing 1:1 hands on treatments. I am also a Nutritional Therapist working 1:1 and also providing some workshops. I support athletes with sports specific nutrition to help them compete and recover well. I also work with people who have health issues ranging from gut issues, auto immune health issues and Thyroid health issues. My approach to any health issue is from a Functional Medicine model; linking all areas of health to improve symptoms and vitality for the client. I love cooking and food and like to bring a wholefood approach to client’s well-being. My interest in Nutrition originally stemmed from sporting interests. I have competed in sport internationally and nationally in a variety of sports and continue to have a passion for movement and exercise. Pulling on previous experience of working in Family Support I like to use empathy and empower clients to develop lifetime skills and habits which are easy to follow.
Helen Cassidy qualified as a Nutritional Therapist in 2011 and operates a private practice in South Dublin. Prior to this, she earned a BA (Hons) in Marketing and Languages from DCU and worked in various management positions over a 15-year career with a large Irish financial institution. On the back of her own health challenges, Helen has direct experience of the impact nutrition can have on the body and has seen first hand, through her work with clients, how even small changes can make a huge difference. Helen lectures on a number of topics at the Irish Institute of Nutrition and Health, as well as supervising student clinics. Her areas of clinical expertise include female hormonal issues, thyroid health, digestive health and nutrition for children.
Elmpark Green, Merrion Road,
Nutritional Therapist with a keen interest in thyroid health that developed while still studying for my NT degree and became my speciality after two of my close family members were diagnosed with autoimmune thyroid disease. I've been working for the past few years with people dealing with all sorts of thyroid issues, but also with other imbalanced processes in the body that indirectly impact thyroid health, like digestion, stress or blood sugar regulation. For the past year I've also become moderator of the Hashimoto Romania group, with which I organise informative webinars, Q&As or conferences related to thyroid.
